Default I'm in terrible Chinese fonts, anyone can help me?

Dear all,
I'm using xubuntu-7.10 in English(USA), and installed Chinese
packages also. But there is a terrible trouble always: the fonts have
many wrong words, such as:与,直 etc(please see image attached:
wrong_chinese_words.png).
Could Anybody give me some suggestion, about below:
1. How to find out which fonts be used?
2. How to set my system in wqy fonts?

Best wishes!
