Hello,*
When is XFCE shipping for Xubuntu 12.04 LTS?* I see that the plan is to become available at the next version of Xubuntu 12.10. Will it become available for 12.04 at the same date as well?* Best regards* -- xubuntu-users mailing list xubuntu-users@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/xubuntu-users |

XFCE is unlike some desktops in that the changes are relatively small. What is it about 4.08 that is so deficient that one would need to upgrade? Sorry to be so strident about it, but you've hit one of my pet peeves. I think Linux users are too used to upgrading to the newest and shiniest-as opposed to Windows XP users, who have only recent become the minority of Windows users. So, we get idiotic reviews that focus not on whether something is functional and user-friendly, nor on performance, but on what new features are provided, and we get people feeling the need to upgrade regularly. b -- xubuntu-users mailing list xubuntu-users@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/xubuntu-users |

Small changes between 4.8 and 4.10? I hink, you have read the whole page :)
One of the biggest was adding preview and multi drag and drop files on the desktop for me of course. And others small changes, from which Xfce is far more usable :) W dniu 27.09.2012 15:34, bob pisze: On Thu, 27 Sep 2012 13:23:21 +0200 Michał Olber <michal.olber@osworld.pl> wrote: and that is why you need to install Xubuntu, every 6 months :) W dniu 27.09.2012 13:06, Pasi Lallinaho pisze: On 09/27/2012 01:54 PM, Michael Höhne wrote: Am Thu, 27 Sep 2012 13:18:29 +0300 schrieb Pasi Lallinaho <pasi@shimmerproject.org>: On 09/27/2012 01:14 PM, tasos vlc wrote: Hello, When is XFCE shipping for Xubuntu 12.04 LTS? I forgot about the apps, like LibreOffice where ubuntu 12.04 LTS doesn't
even have version 3.6 or GIMP 2.8 which was one of the most important releases. W dniu 27.09.2012 16:26, Michał Olber pisze: Small changes between 4.8 and 4.10? Yeah, it's apps that get me upgrading Ubuntu. Xfce 4.10 doesn't feel any different to Xfce 4.8. It is still around long after its projected support period and will yet be until July next year, IIRC. Would that X/Ubuntu LTS releases did *not* reach an actual EOL after 5 years (or is it three now?).
