Install Xmakrs and LastPass for Firefox and synchronize it.
For Evolution, if you use IMAP than you only need new account and
synchronize it. If POP3 than it is a problem :P

Copy these files:



Evolution:

/home/username/.evolution or .local/share/evolution

/home/username/.gconf

/home/username/.gnome2_private

/home/username/.camel_certs



Firefox:

/home/username/.mozilla



You may also want:



/home/username/.config

/home/username/.gnome2



For other configuration files.



All these files are hidden, so you will need to do View>Show
Hidden Files (Ctrl+H) to show them. Then copy them onto your home
folder on the new machine, in their original state.

Back when I used evolution, after the install, the reboot, etc. I would
copy the dot-directory that evolution resided in, from my backup, and it
always worked. YMMV. I didn't have much luck with the export/import from
backup scheme. That is what I do with thunderbird now, crossing my
fingers that nothing significant had changed in the file structure. Ric
