Why wait? - You can install 12.04 right now from here:

I have it on two machines - a desktop and a laptop - and both work
like charms. During the last two months no problems whatsoever.

Alpha should not be installed in production machines.
Everything should work as expected, but we can never forecast breakages
in the packages. Betas will offer less of these.
That's why it sometimes makes sense to wait.
