Kernel Optimization
 

I'm running Xubuntu on a fairly old laptop and everything seems to be working great.* I was thinking about optimizing the kernel, but I'm not sure it would be worth the trouble.* So has anybody been able to improve the performance/stability of their system by messing with the kernel or is it best to leave well enough alone.
