Default mouse problems

after installing xubuntu quantal beta1 amd64 in a virtual machine (qemu) the mouse is nowhere to be found, it still does stuff, its just invisible. what is this a bug in and how should this be reported?

after opening a program (screenshot) by*accident*the mouse returned, i'm now even more confused
