Default Xubuntu should include a printer setup tool that sets the default printer

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Having set up a HP Printer in xubuntu 6.06.1 (PPC), most Programms were able to print using cups.
But trying to print from within gqview, it said 'SIGPIPE: Error printing'
Console output led me to the error: There was no default printer set.
lpstat -t
confirmed that.
I had to add a default printer using
sudo lpadmin -h localhost:631 -d $printername_from_lpstat

After that, everything went worked well.

Maybe there is a possibility to integrate that into the default setup
routines for CUPS? Would be much easier for the users.
