Default Xubuntu Testing Day

Hash: SHA1

Announcing the first Xubuntu Testing Day. In a continuing effort to
make Xubuntu better, we would like as many people as possible to help
us test the latest version. For this testing day, that will be Xubuntu
Intrepid Alpha 6. This version is not yet ready for production use, but
thorough testing will help make it so.

WHO: Users, Developers, Testers, Everybody! It does not matter if you
can not program at all. If you have a spare drive or partition around,
you can help make Xubuntu better.

WHEN: September 22, 2008. That is kind of short notice, but we can
make this happen.

WHERE: Go to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/UbuntuTestingDay/20080922
for all the details. There's even a Freenode IRC channel for this,
#ubuntu-testing. For questions about Intrepid, the Freenode IRC channel is #ubuntu+1.

HOW do you help with testing? Glad you asked that. Simply go to the ISO
tracker at http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/build/xubuntu/all
for links to the CD images. You click on the CD to download the ISO

WHY do we need to do this? The more testing results reported, the
more the developers know about their efforts to give you the best
possible product. Also, you get to say ** you helped make Xubuntu
better **.

Let's all work together to make Intrepid the best Xubuntu
