After upgrading from 7.10 to 8.04 the intalled printer - HP DeskJet 710C
- cannot be
connected to. The repeated log messages are :
May 17 parport0: prnt/backend/hp.c 496: unable to connect hpssd socket
2207: Connection refused
May 17 parport0: prnt/backend/hp.c 636: INFO: open device failed; will
retry in 30 seconds...
May 17 parport0: io/hpmud/pp.c 627: unable to read device-id ret=-110
As i have no knowledge on the printing system, i'm looking for
for some hints what to do

Printer HP DeskJet 710 cannot be,connected to
Printing is going again after
Invoke System -> Administration -> Printing
On the Upcoming window (system-config-printer) go to
-> Policies tab and check the 'Enabled' checkbox.
