Default Synaptic/apt-get problem
I'm trying to install qdvd-author, and Synaptic is just hanging on me as
if there's a problem accessing the update sites. I tried doing an
update from the command line and got:

anyone else having trouble with the updates? I last installed a program
(lives) on the 23rd, according to the dpkg logfile, and I noticed the
issue with trying to install qdvd-author yesterday.

cant connect to any of the repositories..

very busy due to the 8.04 release

Hmm...maybe...but I haven't heard much about troubles with 8.04
downloads (well, more than normally expected). Perhaps I've missed
something?

its probably cleverer to use the us mirror here as well atm, the main
archive is definately getting hammered, just change it to us.archive.u.c
as the other lines ....
