latest chrome on xubuntu 12.04 - no go
I'm trying to get the latest chrome installed. *I downloaded if from google, then run these commans:
sudo dpkg -i google-chrome-stable_current_i386.deb It will fail which is expected for first time because of lacking dependencies. I then run this to install dependencies sudo apt-get -f install I then try to install chrome again and get: dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of google-chrome-stable:i386: *google-chrome-stable:i386 depends on xdg-utils (>= 1.0.2). but xubuntu 12.0.4 has *xdg-utils 1.1.0~rc1-2ubuntu6. Why doesn't it like 1.1.0? Thanks, Wes -- ubuntu-users mailing list ubuntu-users@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-users |

I went and found 1.0.2 from*
http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/all/xdg-utils/download but I still get the error about needing >=1.0.2 eventhough 1.0.2 is installed. What next?
