Trying to use a Maxon USB Broadband modem with Ubuntu 12.04
Hi
I have been trying to set up this modem using a Telstra (AUS) datapack account with a System 76 Laptop running ubuntu 12.04. The modem works fine with Win XP (different Machine) using the Modem’s config program however there is no such thing for Linux. The modem is being recognised in the network connections however it will not go through the final stages and connect. The Modem is a Maxon Â*Model USB3-8521. I think I have the modem setup correct Â* The following outputs may help: Â* Output fromÂ* Lsusb Â* Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub Bus 001 Device 002: ID 8087:0024 Intel Corp.
