Upgrade to Udisks 2.0 to get a working floppy drive?
The bug which kept floppy drives from working in
udisks 1.x (included in Lubuntu) has been closed without a
resolution. Developer or maintainer David Zeuthen advises
upgrading to 2.0, in which which he says floppy drives work.* See

Is there any reason not to upgrade in Ubuntu 12.04?* How do I do
it?
