I'm experimenting with running Android apps under Ubuntu.

I've got as far as getting a virtual device running successfully, but it's
not clear to me how I can download and install apps.* I have a Goggle
account, but when I try to install an app I get a message saying that my
device is not supported.* There's no shopping icon on the screen, so I've
been using the browser, which works fine.

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to install apps?* The one I'm
particularly interested in is the Pioneer Control app for Pioneer devices
such as the N50 music streamer, which is free.*
The only links I can see on
the Pioneer site are to Google.

several years with Gnome 2, but I stop use it when it
started to use Unity, which initially I don't like. I have a

In a virtual machine I think that you have to use the android sdk and
install it via the adb. I think that the emulator has a adb server
running already so all that you have to do is connect to it and
install the app

I don't think that there is a way to play QuickTime stuff on Linux,
QuickTime is a Apple product right? They are not known for providing
native Linux clients and a quick Google search shows that people have
not had much success running it under wine.

I am sorry, but I don't understand the question.

I like Unity. I find it more elegant & more efficient that GNOME 2.

If you don't, I suggest Xubuntu. XFCE can easily be made to look &
work
just like GNOME 2.

Please do not top post.

Quick Time plays just fine under linux, you just need the right
software.
Wine isn't necessary. Try playing them with VLC.

William is right, you are wrong.

Top posting means that you type your answer /above/ the message you're
replying to. This is common business practice, but it's a recent thing
- it's wrong and it is frowned upon on many mailing lists.

To bottom post, delete the couple of blank lines Gmail inserts, then
cursor down past the text of the email you
received and type your
answer *below* it.
