Default Automatic Install from Backports

In [1] there is a description of how to setup automatic install from
backports by editing the file /etc/apt/preferences. On my 12.04
desktop install this file does not appear to exist. Is the guide out
of date or should I create the file and add the text shown?

You can create that file or create file with any name you want into
/etc/apt/preferences.d/ . Apt always reads that file and you can check
that by putting invalid things to that file and running apt-get or
anything what uses apt. It will give you error.

NOTICE! I am on mobile broadband with very limited time, so I cannot
read emails very much.
The best time to contact me is probably weekends when I have better
connectivity with good luck.

OK, thanks, I have added a note to the wiki to clarify that.
