I no longer am to use my Ubuntu. It was working fine until I started creating files on Google Earth to keep pins together. First problem was I lost my pins, all but my starting location. Next l am not able to log into Ubuntu. Is there a way to fix Ubuntu without losing everything? I have many Gb of disk & 4 Gb of memory.
Thank you,
Nick

When this happened to me the problem was no space left in the root
partition. Check by running df -h.
