I tried to upgrade the kernel, but something spoiled the old installation. Suspend-mode didn't work anymore and things like that. Precise Pangolin works fine. Unity is quite nice.

Isn't "rtl8192ce_linux_2.6.0006.0321.2011" for 2.6.24 kernels and earlier?

I guess, yes. The readme only mentions Ubuntu 10.10 and earlier.

In Precise Pangolin the WLAN worked out of the box.

Before, I could compile the rtl8192ce_linux_2.6.0006.0321.2011. The other drivers I downloaded didn't even compile.
