Running 11.04 on a Samsung netbook. When I connect the z305
logitechthe speaker does not fully activate automatically. It plays
sound but you can not control it from the ubuntu sound icon. You can
control sound from Banshee Rhythm Box etc. If you open sound
preferences and select the speaker under Output everything is fine.

Is there a way to make this selection automatic aside from logging out
or rebooting?
