I am using ubuntu 10.10 32 bit
Icecat 7.0.1 shuts down unexpected VERY often
The reason I am using icecat is that firefox also shuts down unexpected
all the time, this has happened for over a year.
When I am doing some serious work like buying something on the internet
or working with facebook I always switch to google chrome.
The main reason I am using icecat is because I am using scrapbook which I
find indispensable.
Google Chrome has something alike scrapbook but not so good I find

Is there any pattern to it? Always a similar amount of time after
staring up, always on the same webpage or similar? Could you try
running it from the command line and see if there's anything output
there?
Does it also crash if you don't use scrapbook?

No, can see when googling that other people have had the same problem but
never seen a proper solution to fix the problem

When you turn on your computer, keep the Shift key pressed. You will
be presented with a menu.
Select memtest86+. Leave it run until it completes one pass (it will
perform some tests that will take about 30 minutes - 1 h).
Let us know, if any errors were found.

I do not know if it helps, but Icecat is now version 10.0.X. Running
it on 10.10 should present no problem once you solved the current
difficulty.
