ubuntu awk issue?
friends,
when i am trying to use awk against a file with very long records (about 230 fields separated by comma) - the first record is either messed up or is completely printed. after that records print fine. sometimes though very rarely this issue happens with records in between too. I tried mawk and nawk also but same issue. can anyone advice what could be the issue? Can you show us some code, some example data and an example of a "messed up" record? -- Steve When one person suffers from a delusion it is insanity.
