When is Linux Kernel 3.x would be implemented in Ubuntu Linux OS and how is it different from the earlier kernel versions.*

3.0.0 is in 11.10. The 2.6.38 to 3.0 is no bigger than, say 2.6.36 to
2.6.38. It's not a big change to the kernel, it's just a decision to
not count as high as 40.

I find 3.0 runs hotter than the previous kernels by 5-10 degrees.
