How to install Magic Jack
Take your Magic Jack in your right hand and your receipt in your left hand and repeat after me "I want my money back."
It doesn't work very well on Verizon system [my experience] and the support for Linux is questionable at best, totally absent in most peoples experience.

Hi - - I also bought the magic Jack, but took it right back after
finding out it does not work on a Linux OS...They say that they
are working on it, ya I bet...

What about nettalk?* I haven't tried it myself but it can be plugged
directly into a router, or you could use your linux box as a router.
