[11.04]-Convert HDD From EXT4 To NTFS Without Data Lose ???
Hi,
How would I convert a hard drive
from EXT4 to Microsoft NTFS
without data lose and formatting?
Thanks!
Jesse
If you were crazy and desperate enough, and have more than 50% free
space on the drive, you can shrink the ext4, create an NTFS drive in the
vacant space, move your data from ext4 partition to ntfs, reformat ext4
partition as ntfs, move data from the original ntfs to the new one at
the start of the drive, delete the second ntfs partition, then expand
the first ntfs partition to fill the drive space.
Sounds like a great way to tempt Murphy into total disaster, however. I
only mention it for laughs.
