Realtek ALC268 sound driver for Ubuntu 7.10 64bit

Hi,

Im new to ubuntu. i can't get sound after i install ubuntu 7.10 64bit alternate CD on my HP dv6500 notebook.
Can anyone explain to me how to solve this?
