If the information is provided in kilometers per liter I can do the maths.

Not quite (for the Imperial gallon). It's 1 Imperial Gallon = 4
Imperial Quarts = 4.8 US Quarts

Remember that their gallons are smaller than real gallons. But even

US Gallon = 4 quarts
Imperial Gallon = 5 quarts
Mileage in Imperial Gallons = 38.75
How does that contrast with current european[real world] mileage?

We in the US have *real* gallons. The Brits re-imagined the pint to be
20 oz. because somebody there wanted to get more
warm beer in their pint than they were getting, and since the gallon is
8 pints, the British gallon is now 5 *real* quarts. --doug

In the real world there are neither gallons nor miles.

If the information is provided in kilometers per liter I can do the maths.

When I was in Europe some years ago, I was told that they measure liters
per 100 kilometers, not km/liter.

Just to make it harder to convert, I guess. . . .

So can I in my '65 Chevelle Malibu with a built 350/350. However, down
shifting for a curve can get dicey due to the lag. Ah for the days when
I could drive a 4 speed but can't now because I have to wear an
orthopedic boot on my left leg and can't feel the clutch. *sob*

Take a tip: Don't get old. When you hit 60 screw a .45 in your ear and
let it rip.

I think you're living in the past (goes with advancing age). Lenny and
Squeeze installation were painless. Almost identical to "Mark's Marvel".
No harder to configure either.

We have already determined that to be 42.

Which manufacturer produces most of these diesel engines? In the US, diesel
fuel is higher priced per gallon than premium grade gasoline. Plus the grade
of fuel decreased suddenly around 4 years ago so fuel mileage for diesels
dropped drastically. Today, diesel powered vehicles are the costliest per
mile of all vehicles operated here.

I think it was all done quite like unity was slipped in on us. When gnome
three arrives it will be welcomed even by those who wouldn't have otherwise
abandoned gnome 2 as anything else would be many magnitudes better than unity.
It was all just a ploy to get us all off of a no longer supported gnome and
more willing to accept something inferior. ...or at least live with it till
it grows up.
