Default iPhone error

Hi all.
I posted the same problem a few weeks ago but I couldn't get any info or help.*I have Ubuntu Maverick and when I plug in my iPhone I gt this error
DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus

IF I try to type lsusb I can see my iPhone listed*taras#lsusb
Bus 002 Device 004: ID 05ac:1294 Apple, Inc. iPhone 3GS
and I got this messages in /var/log/messages

Mar 16 19:13:53 taras kernel: [19921.372105] usb 2-2: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 5Mar 16 19:13:53 taras kernel: [19921.839202] ipheth 2-2:4.2: Apple iPhone USB Ethernet device attached

Any update/info/resolution?

I'd try a different USB port, perhaps an onboard one if possible. Are you certain the cable is good? Has this ever worked?

Do you get better debug info if you use lsusb -vvv?

Hi, i recently posted an answer on Askubuntu.com[0] that solves this
problem. It's caused by the 4.2.1 update.

Just follow the instructions and you will have your iphone working again
