I had the opportunity over the last week to rebuild/upgrade my desktop
PC. With the new MSI motherboard, the "Safely Remove Drive" on USB
flash drives works the first time. It's not an NVidia chipset (though
I'm not exactly sure what it is), so that kind of figures.

The video is also ATI now, and it works beautifully with the advanced
driver from Ubuntu, so I'm jazzed.

OTOH, the vertical panel with the Windows list still goes nuts if I
open more than 8 windows in a workspace, so some things still work
poorly.

I'll be updating that bug I filed with Gnome about the flash drives....

Thought someone out there might want to know.
