Default .screenrc entries to show always the windows in bottom

I added following to my .screenrc
caption always “%H %c | %-w%{=}%n-%t%{-}%+w”

but when I execute screen then only for some initial seconds I can see
the window name and some other details in bottom.
How can I set it to permanently view?
There is one more file .screen
which has
hardstatus alwayslastline

In my .screenrc what should I modify?

Thanks I did not knew about this one.
By the time I saw this message I had following which had helped me

hardstatus alwayslastline
#hardstatus string '%{= mK}%-Lw%{= KW}%50>%n%f* %t%{= mK}%+Lw%< %{=
kG}%-=%D %d %M %Y %c:%s%{-}'
hardstatus string '%{= kG}[ %{G}%H %{g}][%= %{=
kw}%?%-Lw%?%{r}(%{W}%n*%f%t%?(%u)%?%{r})%{w}%?%+Lw%?%?%= %{g}][%{B}
%d/%m %{W}%c %{g}]'
