Iphone issue
Hi all.Since I upgraded Ubuntu to Maverick I am not able to mount my Iphone so I can download/upload photos, music and so on.
I searched within ubuntu forums and I found one package wasn't updated and I was missing idevicepair package. In order to install the proper version I had to recompile at least 10 other missing (or not updated) packages but still with no luck. Once I plug in my iphone 3GS (4.2 OS) I got these messages in var/log/messages Jan 19 14:25:32 my-laptop kernel: [ *868.876200] usb 2-2: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 5 Jan 19 14:25:33 my-laptop kernel: [ *869.327170] ipheth 2-2:4.2: Apple iPhone USB Ethernet device attachedJan 19 14:25:33 my-laptop usbmuxd[3201]: [2] Could not open device 2-5: -3 Do you have any idea how to fix this? Does this PPA help? https://launchpad.net/~pmcenery/+archive/ppa?field.series_filter=karmic It has updated versions of the libraries used to connect to iPhone and iPod, not sure if it has the bits you need.
