Default ubuntu 10.4 x86_64 IBM x3400 M3

Hi all,

I've tried to install ubuntu-server 10.4 x86_64 LTS on a IBM x3400 M3
Server (2CPUs, 4gig RAM, 2x ServeRAID-1).

During installing the OS, everything works fine.
Grub loader was installed on /dev/sda (first disk device)

After rebooting, the IBM Server won't boot the ubuntu installation
(black screen - no error messages)

I've also tried the 32 bit version of ubuntu-8.04.4 (32+64 bit).
install process could not find the CDROM driver -> abort.

Are there any hints for installing ubuntu 10.4 64bit on this Server?

google and friends could not give me the right answer.

Many thanks
Richard
