On Intrepid, my zd1211 USB adapter worked perfectly.
On Karmic, I get:

Could not load firmware file zd1211/zd1211b_ub. Error number -2

Of course, the firmware files are installed (they are included in the
linux-firmware package)
I tried with firmware files from sourceforge, with the same result.

any idea?
