FYI, I logged into https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/options/ubuntu-users
and saw this:
Note: your list delivery is currently disabled; it was disabled due to
excessive bounces. The last bounce was received on 08-Nov-2009.
Is it possible to give me more detailed debugging information (logfiles
etc) so that I can find out what the problem is & fix it?
Meanwhile I manually re-enabled delivery. I suppose that I won't get the
backlog? Because that would probably DDOS my mailserver.

Your own mail logs should contain reasons for the bounces if you are
in control of all MXs on the way from canonical to your mailbox. If not
try to find out which MX caused the bounces.

None that I (Debian MM maintainer in 2004) know of.

My conclusion: Canonical is blacklisted by http://www.uceprotect.net.
For now, I commented out these lines from the smtpd_recipient_restrictions
section of /etc/postfix/main.cf:
I hope that this mail will arrive AND I hope that this won't increase the
amount of spam hitting my inbox.
Should I file a bug somewhere in Launchpad? Because this problem is not
software related. I don't know what the proper procedure is.

According to <http://www.uceprotect.net/rblcheck.php?ipr=91.189.94.204>
it's not blacklisted now (at 2009-11-13 15:27:06+01:00)

About a year after I joined this list the same thing happened to me. I
contacted my mail host, then their upstream host and finally their
upstream broadband provider. It was crazy nonsense. I had to use an
alternate email just to access the list - and I have ever sense.
A few times I forget to change addresses and the email will come through
- but the few times I have tried to go back to my original address, I
get bounced messages in a few days.

I think a spam filter might get active on the words used on
this list and kick a message out as spam and bounce the
message back. It happens very seldom but it happens.

You may want to reconsider that statement:

Do you see that huge increase around 15:30? That's Ubuntu, hitting my

Hello,
The Truth is Out There...check your mail logs.
I have enabled SPF policy and a site of a multinational enterprise is
being reject because someone there enabled SPF too but configured it wrong.
Cheers.
