Can anybody confirm these bugs in gnome-power-manager?
Hi folks,
I just subscribed to this list, so forgive me if this was discussed before.
I have some issues with gnome-power-manager.
First of all it doesn't detect my battery after waking up from suspend. This causes all kind of trouble and inconvenience.
See bug report here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-power-manager/+bug/472347
And than gnome-power-manager doesn't trigger the expected action on critical battery level. This seems to be an older problem.
See bug report here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/baltix/+source/gnome-power-manager/+bug/135548
I would highly appreciate if anybody else could confirm these bugs to help fix them.
Thanks you.

I am way behind you and do not care. I have yet to get my
laptop to wake up after closing it up. Mine turns off when
closed and you need to re-boot.
The power manager seems to work fine Jaunty and it is
accurate. I do not let my laptop get to a critical state.
Since I do not try and get more hours from a single charged
battery. I seem to get about 2 hours whether using Vista or Linux.

Which version do you have trouble with? I tried this with
Jaunty and it seems to do everything right.

I'm under Karmik. But I had the same problem under Jaunty (using KDE at that time).

Well my HP laptop will go to sleep when I close the laptop.
When I open up it is working and the battery life is right or
as close as I can tell.

The proper way to discuss your bug is to do
'~$ ubuntu-bug gnome-power-manager' and send the results to Launchpad,
adding your observations and files to bug report #472247.

I suggest an analogue procedure.

I cannot confirm your 2 bugs. But I have other issues with
gnome-power-manager.
gnome-power-manager is a complex program and very much hardware dependent.

The suggested procedure is the most efficient way to help fix your bugs.
