I have an Acer 5100-5022 laptop with 9.04 installed. I'm using OSS Mixer as my sound provider (it's the only thing that works) and I'm having a problem.* I can play music, watch movies, whatever, for hours with no problems. But if I get on a VoIP call in ANY program, sound will play for a few minutes then will die. They will hear me but I won't hear them.

Any ideas?
Specifically, I'm trying to use the new Pidgin but it happens on Skype and others too.
