I recently installed ubuntu 8.10, and am wanting to setup evolution to include a gpg signature.
I generated my gpg key using gpg --key-gen.
When I do a gpg --list-keys, I see my key and can get the public id for the key.
When I go into evolution and select edit -> prefferences -> mail accounts edit security tab, I put in my public key id and say I want to sign all outgoing messages.
Now when I try to send a message, evolution says it cannot read the key. Any ideas why this would be, or how to get arround it?

What you did sounds right - what are the permissions on your .gnupg
folder and keyfiles? It should be 700 and 600 respectively. If
that's right then we'd have to look at the 'encryption and keyrings'
app I guess
