This is a good tutorial on how to do it. My recommendation is, if
you're a n00b or have any data you simply don't want to lose in random
FS bugs, don't move to ext4.

I've not had any trouble myself with ext4, but that doesn't mean you
won't. Two things I should reiterate. One, don't use on a production
system unless you have reliable backups and downtime isn't an issue.
Two, don't upgrade the fs on /boot to ext4. At least not yet.

First of all, why do you want to move to ext4? Do you have any
compelling reason to risk your data for it?

That's what I thought. Read the last page of Phoronix's benchmarks to
decide if that is a good idea for your usage (or read the whole
article, which ws rather interesting):
http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=ext4_benchmarks&num=9

Don't be too impressed.. If your name had been John Wayne instead of
Ning Luwen, I'm sure he would have had more difficulty making a guess.
