Default I am being marked as spam.

Dear internetz,

I am using a dreamhost account, and find that USERNAME@guptaxpn.com is being
blocked by a number of spam filters, what would you suggest to remedy
the situation. I'm only asking because I'm assuming that you are running
your own servers, or are aware of such measures. I send a _very_ low volume of mails,
and find that it is difficult to use my address with certain domains. Specifically pwcgov.org if that helps.

Thank you,
Paul

First you need to know why your mails are blocked. Do you get bounces
when you try to send mail? If so please post one of this bounces.

According to <http://www.dnsbl.com/> neither guptaxpn.com nor
the MXs of guptaxpn.com nor the mail server you used to send your
mail are listed in one of the blacklists you can search there.

The most likely reason is, that a relatively large number of dreamhost
accounts is used for sending spam, and for that reason others block all
email coming from dreamhost accounts. The only one who can do something
against that is dreamhost.

The only thing you can do to remedie this situation in short order is, to
go somewhere else with your mailaccount, f.i. gmail.

Go to www.mxtoolbox.com and see if your domain is blacklisted. Find
out if your mail server is an open relay. You may not be sending a
high volume of email, but you might not be the only one using your
mail server. If your mx record doesn't correspond to your server
name, that can also cause you to get blocked sometimes.
