Is it possible there could be a bug in the screen saver that is
causing it to turn off more than the screen? What is the timing on
the screen saver?
Also, I'm pretty sure you can disable sleep mode, but I only know a
"nuke the site from orbit" method: In the file /boot/grub/menu.lst,
you can add the option "noacpi" to leave out the Advanced
Configuration and Power Interface completely.
title Ubuntu 8.04.1, kernel 2.6.24-19-generic -noacpi
Hopefully, you get a better solution that that.
