Default Wireless. Enable WPA

I've*installed*Ibex*on*an*Inspiron*Dell*5000.*I*ha ve*2*wan*cards,*both**
of*which*are*detected.*However,*I*need*to*connect* to*a*WPA*enabled**
access*point.*When*I*click*on*the*network*manager* in*the*top*right,**
there*is*no*WPA*option.*If*I*go*into*edit*connecti ons,*there*is*a*wpa**
option*and*I*can*enter*the*password,*but*it*doesn' t*even*try*to**
connect.*And*when*I*back*out*and*try*to*connect*as *the*first*time,**
again*no*WPA.*What*do*I*need*to*do?*

Normally, you just connect to the access point and Network Manager asks
you for the WPA password.

Nope. That's the problem. The only options are:
WEP 40/128
WEP 128
LEAP
Dynamic WEP

Go to Network Managers website, look for a .deb installer, and install the newest version. If that doens't work, choose wep 128 and type in the wpa encription code. I did that and it worked.
