Default MD5SSUM-check minimal Ubuntu CD image.

Dear everybody.

At an old laptop, I am going to try to install Ubuntu via the 'Minimal
CD image': https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/MinimalCD

I am going to use the image for the 8.10 version for '32-bit CD
(x.86)'. This is the MD5SUM-code I found after downloading this image:
5009f9d335cfe6e6c4f10a6d994c1fcb

I looked for this code at two pages:
http://releases.ubuntu.com/releases/intrepid/MD5SUMS
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuHashes

Neither of these two pages has listed the MD5SUM code for 'mini.iso'.
So, could any else download this file and compare his MD5SUM with the
one above?

Thank you very much.

Bas.

Default MD5SSUM-check minimal Ubuntu CD image.

I downloaded the ISO at
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/intrepid/main/installer-i386/current/images/netboot/mini.iso and got this for checksums:

MD5: 5009f9d335cfe6e6c4f10a6d994c1fcb mini.iso
SHA1: 649ae1cee0b5407dd924f15f8d8baa09df201244 mini.iso
SHA256: cf83b6c5131664855447ae102deb1dcb48af40863b139baa0e 5ddc46695811b8
mini.iso

So based on the MD5 sum, it looks like you got the same ISO I did. But
you should check your SHA1 (sha1sum) or SHA256 (sha256sum) against mine
to make sure I didn't copy/paste your MD5 sum

Bug-free code is a myth.
