/usr/sbin/console-kit-daemon
I have three machines running Hardy. On each of them I see exactly 61 console-kit-daemons running. They do consume a considerable amount of memory, and terminating them, doesn't really affect anything. Can someone kindly clarify the need of these 61 console-kit-daemons ?

I have 62 console-kit _threads_. Frankly, I'd just stop using commands that show threads, and the problem goes away. As Nick Demou tried to say in the bug report: threads are essentially free. -- derek -- ubuntu-users mailing list ubuntu-users@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-users |
