BUG: sun-java6-source incorrectly Depends: sun-java6-jdk (>= 6-06-0ubuntu1)
Hi, I have a chroot which I install all my docs (and sources) into, so
as to not clutter my primary desktop installation. I went to install sun-java6-source, about 20MB worth, and apt wanted to pull in over 100MB of additional cruft - the whole jdk and all its dependencies no less. I consider this to be a bug. Otoh, since you can't actually _do_ anything with the source without a JDK, the packagers consider it a requirement. It's _just_ a great big jar file. If you don't want the Ubuntu package, download the jar. -- derek -- ubuntu-users mailing list ubuntu-users@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-users |
