Default Bug or configuration problem?

I recently installed ubuntu. It has all worked perfectly from the start
with one exception. When my monitor sleeps then wakes up, the screen
'flickers' pretty much constantly until it restarts. Do I need to
somehow reconfigure my monitor, or is this something I should submit as
a bug. I searched google and can't find anywhere else where someone has
had this problem.

Thanks

Chris

Chris - does this happen from suspend or hibernate or both? And what
video card is in it?
I have a box with that exact issue running Debian testing. It only
happens from suspend and hibernating the box 'fixes' it until the next
time it suspends. Another person with the same issue would at least
make the bug report more helpful.

I'm not honestly sure how to tell what video card I have.* I was given
the PC.* If you can tell me how to figure that out I can follow
instructions.

Hibernating, restarting, and shutting down all clear the issue.* If you
think it would help I'd be glad to write a bug report; please let me
know.

Thanks

Chris
