Hi Vito,

"old" bug ? It's not even 6 months old ! ;-)
When I started using Linux 4/5 years ago, I filed a few bugs against
Gnome or gtk... they are all still unfixed. I have long given up, I
just live with them and moved on. I almost don't notice them anymore
most of the time, I just somehow managed to convince myself they
were "features", as you are sometimes told by the devs when they don't
care a bout a bug.

Also, this list is not the place for pushing a bug fix. This is a users
list, users like you and me, who have no power to push a particular
bug, espcially out of tens of hundreds of other bugs ! ;-)
The right place to report a problem and track things, and make a
contribution/comment/suggestion... is the bug report. Since the bug has
already been filed and there is activity around it, there is nothing
more you can do about it, apart from praying for a fast fix, if you
happen to believe in some god or some other thing.
The other solution if really this bug keeps you from sleeping (I read
the bug report, and it doens't seem so important that one would lose
sleep on it), is to... well, to spend some money and give it to
a developer that will promptly fix the bug for you.

regards,

I know what you mean - but I've had some really good experiences too.
It's frustrating when your coding skills aren't up to fixing them
yourself, and it just keeps hanging around.

On the other side of the fence, I've had bugs in Ubuntu and Firefox
fixed in literally days from my first posting about them.

Ya win some, ya lose some.

Brian

PS File a bug report with Adobe or Apple and see how long that takes
to get fixed!
