Are there Widgets or Gadgets available in Ubuntu Gusty like in Vista or MAC?

Well, the Gnome desktop had applets when Vista and OS X were not even in
development, so yes

There are many applets that you can put into your panel, such as weather
report and the like. These come by default.

In addition, you can install gDesklets, which can be placed onto your
desktop background. Look here: http://www.gdesklets.de/

GKrellm is another option:

And there is Karamba and SuperKaramba for KDE/Kubuntu users
