Default How to safely remove SCIM

For a long time I don't use any Java AWT/Swing application, because I lost
keyboard focus very often (after closing some dialog windows). I also created a
bug for it: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/174281. Now I observed that
this problem is maybe a SCIM bug:

Bug on Sun where SCIM is mentioned:

I just want to be sure, that after I remove SCIM I will still be able to input
Czech alphabet.
