Hi Phil Bieber,
Thanks a lot for the quick response.
I had downloaded ubuntu-8.04.1-desktop-amd64 ISO file, burn directly onto CD using NEO burner, and when I open CD using windows explorer it showed me nothing ( CD size zero), finally I made an attempt to install burnt ISO on CD but its not recognizing as boot loader.
Thanks,
Musturi

Hi!
We need a little more information to correctly help you!
How did you burn the ISO-file? Which ISO did you choose? And where
can't you see the contents? When you open the CD with your Explorer
(Windows, Linux, Mac) or is you PC not booting from the CD to start
the installation process?
Cheers
Phil Bieber

The most common mistake is burning the iso as a data disk. Try
following this guide:

Thanks buddy, I did a MD5SUM check, its displaying as "MD5 Check sums are different".
Does this mean, whatever 693MB file I had downloaded is of no use. Is there any way to solve this.

one question..can your cd drive even burn cds? and did you check the md5
sums on the iso file? it could be that the iso file you downloaded is
bad.

You have a bad download and you need to download another copy. The
bittorrent download will usually give a reliable download.

Yes, its working now.
