Default Problem with asoundconf

Im not a member of this list, so please reply directly to me.

I have just had someone in #alsa (on freenode) with a sound problem, and
when collecting their info (via my alsa-info.sh script) i noticed that
asoundconf had configured the following for his card.

defaults.pcm.dmix.format S16_LE

which is all fine in most cases, but the ICE1712/1724 cards only accept
S32_LE sample format. So due to dmix being set to use S16_LE, i feel
that some needless conversion (by the 'plug' plugin) is taking place.

Im investigating the sound issue now, and ill see if its related or not.
But in any case, is there a need to set the default dmix format anyway ?
the cards config (in /usr/share/alsa/cards/) already has this
information.

Thanks,
Travis Place
