Default Has somebody a stable Ubuntu Studio Maverick 64-bit?

There's no serious encroachment done by me until now. Even the sound
card isn't working.

It's a vanilla install + some harmless changes, done using the default
repositories only.

Could it be that there's too much missing, after installing Ubuntu
Studio? Could it be that if I would install Ubuntu and then add the
Ubuntu Studio packages, everything is ok? I won't waste my time testing
this, if I can't fix Ubuntu Studio this weekend, I'll switch the distro,
life is much to short for nonsense like this.

$ make-googleearth-package --download --verbose
cat: /etc/mailname: No such file or directory

+ still no mouse-wheel, e.g. no output for mdetect
+ a slow motion GNOME desktop
+ XFCE messages in GNOME sessions
+ ...

No mutations, such as dummy packages, self build apps etc.:

$ uname -r
$ ls /usr/src -hAl
