Default Issues with Brasero and burning 8gb DVD-R

I have an ISO dual-layer image that I want to burn using Brasero. The
program recognizes the disk. But I get this "status" message:

"the medium is not writable with the current set of plugins"

I have all the current plugins activated. So what am I missing here?
